Brenda Lee Little Lewis, age 69 of West Jefferson passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Watauga Medical Center. She was born on November 30, 1956 in Newark, Delaware to Frederick and Juanita Denney Little. Brenda was preceded in death by her father, as well as two brothers, Gary Little and Steve Denney.
Brenda found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially trips to the beach. She also cherished time spent with her grandchildren, creating memories filled with so much love. They were the light of her life, and she took great pride in each of them. She also shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Brody.
At home, Brenda found comfort in watching classic westerns on television, enjoying the familiar stories and timeless characters. Known for her helpful and giving nature, she was always willing to lend a hand, even assisting friends with their taxes each year, a task she took on with care and generosity.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by two daughters, Cherie Eller (Michael) of Creston and Amanda Lewis of West Jefferson, one son, Daniel Lewis (Brenda) of Creston, her mother, Juanita Little of Boone, one brother, Eric Coldiron of Crumpler and one sister, Victoria Greene of Boone. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 3:00pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Tim Roten. Burial will follow in the Kemp-Lewis Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm one hour prior to the service at Ashelawn.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choosing. The family respectfully request no food please.
Brenda will be remembered for her warm heart, her willingness to help others, and the love she freely gave to her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the many lives she touched.
