Allen Powers

Mr. Carl Allen Powers, better known as Allen, age 69 of Lansing passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Margate Health & Rehab. Allen farmed most of his life and was a talented woodworker and loved to play his guitar. In the early 70s Allen made a profession of faith and was baptized. He was the youngest of 12 children, born on August 2, 1955 to the late Basil and Ruth Howell Powers.

Mr. Powers is survived by his wife, Patsy Powers; stepson, Kevin Darnell; brother, Bill Powers (Linda) of Lansing; three sisters, Mary Blevins of Lansing, Carol Miller (Dean) of Millers Creek and JoAnn Kerr (Dale) of Jefferson; two step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, Allen was also preceded in death by three brothers, Loyd, Joe and Elmer and four sisters, Annie Hamm, Doris Sturgill, Virginia Venable and Mabel Turner. In his later years Allen enjoyed being at home with his wife, Patsy, and their beloved cats which gave them great joy.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Powers Cemetery by Rev. Bill Powers.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Powers Cemetery Fund in care of Bill Powers, 13115 NC Highway 194, N. Lansing, NC 28643.
