Merita Della Rose (Price) Blevins

Merita Della Rose Price Blevins, a beacon of warmth and compassion, entered this world on August 15, 1940, in Ashe County, NC. Born to the late Harvey and Alice Canter Price. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Ocie Price, brother, Sidney Price, son, James Greer and husband, Minister Leonard J. Blevins.

Her active involvement with the Ashe County Women's Club and Homemakers Club showcased Merita's commitment to fostering connections and supporting the well-being of her neighbors. An advocate for Celebrate Recovery, she lent her strength to those navigating the challenging path to recovery, providing a source of inspiration and encouragement.

Grounded in her faith, Merita found solace and purpose in singing hymns alongside her late husband and fellow congregants in various churches. As a cherished member of Open Arms Fellowship, she exemplified the values of love, and community.

Merita's defining trait was her selflessness. Always extending a helping hand to those in need, she prioritized the welfare of others above her own. Her caring nature went beyond words, as she consistently devoted herself to the well-being of those around her. A proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Merita found her greatest pride in the bonds of family.
