Emily Teresa Box Armstrong McCullough

Emily Teresa (Terry) Box Armstrong McCullough, 89, of West Jefferson, NC, passed away on November 18, 2016. Ms. McCullough will be laid to rest in Kissimmee, FL, where she lived for over 60 years before moving to NC. A memorial service will be held in Kissimmee at a date to be determined.

Born in Mineola, NY on April 2, 1927, "Ms. Terry" graduated from high school in 1945. She was married to Kenneth George Armstrong, Jr., on March 31, 1947. Together they had seven children. She later married Bruce McCullough. Both her husbands preceded her in death, as did her daughter Lois Carol Armstrong. She was also preceded in death by sisters Eileen and Margaret, as well as her brother Raymond and her parents, Walter R. Box, Jr. and Mary Ann Harris Box. Ms. McCullough retired from service with the City of Kissimmee, FL. She was a longtime member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kissimmee.

Ms. McCullough is survived by daughter Peggy A. Banks of Hampton, GA, son Kenneth George Armstrong, III (Marcia) of Sparr, FL, daughters Carol Ann Armstrong Bell of St. Cloud, FL, Kathleen Teresa Armstrong George (Marion) of Fleetwood, NC, Kerry Rae Armstrong Hall of Graceville, FL, and Kimberly Susan Armstrong Smith of Hampton, GA, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Ms. McCullough's is grateful to the staff of Forest Ridge Assisted Living in West Jefferson, NC, as well as Margate Health and Rehabilitation in Jefferson, NC for their excellent care of Ms. Terry in her final years and days.
