Corey Anne Considine

Family and close friends of Corey Anne Considine will celebrate her life and grieve her death at a private service at the Considine home in Glendale Springs on Wednesday, June 12, 2013.
Corey died on Thursday June 6, 2013, in a vehicle accident in Calistoga, CA. She experienced a beautiful California sunset just before the fatal accident.

Corey had a deep love of life. She was a nurturer, a talented massage therapist, an herbalist who spent the last year perfecting recipes for healthy beauty creams. This spring she worked constantly on her vegetable garden and on creating the perfect logo for her creams. The logo featured her grandmother, Troyanne Ross.

She earned an associate degree in psychology from Santa Rosa Community College. She was a gifted painter, Nia dancer and arial acrobatic enthusiast.

From childhood Corey had long, epic dreams in color. As a girl she began using the spelling of "womyn" for women. She was deeply spiritual and a fierce protector of all who were lucky enough to have had a place in her heart.

Corey is survived by her fiance Ryan Slusser of Calistoga, CA, mother Sheridan Hill of Black Mountain, NC, father Patrick Considine and stepmother Alice Atwood of West Jefferson, NC, sister Julia Considine of Asheville, NC, brother Sean Considine of Los Cabos, Mexico, stepsister Britton Clarke of Freeport, Grand Bahama, stepbrother Todd Atwood of Palo Alta, CA, and six nieces and nephews: Noah, Ethan, Mila, Elia, Nina and Simone.

The procession will begin at 3:00 pm from the home at 626 Claude Mash Road, Jefferson, NC.
